Patsi Meltzer’s Pledge:
I pledge my heart to this amazing country where we are all free to BE. I pledge to always stand tall and proud when I hear our American Anthem play and see our beautiful flag fly above all of its free citizens. We may be down, but we are not defeated. We have made mistakes but we will not run from them. We have seen greed, but we all share in humanity. Freedom for all is what we stand for. I pledge to be an active participant in my government and therefore in the futures of my children. No longer will I assume that our government is not so dumb as to approve ridiculous legislation for they have proven to me that they are willing to do anything, even hurt themselves just to keep in office. This is not a country made of the elite, it is a country made of the hardworking citizens who love, believe and who make this country great.

I pray for our country and it's freedoms.
Peggy Harvey’s Pledge:
My pledge is to have faith in God and to not give up on Americans. We, as Americans, come from good stock. Men and women have died to keep us free, and there are watchmen on the wall to sound the alarm for us. We need to remember who we are, what we believe in and try and understand and appreciate why God has so blessed us. We must not give in to apathy. We are in a crisis just as serious to us as as the war that we are fighting against terrorists. Big government will not serve us well.
Penelope Prine’s Pledge:
I pledge to keep helping our youth know what being an American is all about. I am a Cub Scout leader and the grandmother of 8 great American kids.
Penny Magnotto’s Pledge:
I've been a slow learner regarding patriotism and love of country. Sept. 11 was my wake-up call. After that dreadful day, I began to scrutinize the behaviors of government, myself and my fellow citizens. What I learned was gutwrenching and uplifting. Howerver, when the pain subsided, many Americans saught the comfort of denial, which so often leads to apathy. So the challenges remain, not just of evil forces, but by God. I promise to stand with my American family to answer these challenges.
Phil R. Bales’s Pledge:
I pledge to spread the hope that we can be great again simply by doing the things that made us great from our beginning.
I will share with folks that the American spirit is one of "Get up again!"
* Don't be defeated by the things are!
* Be encouraged by what can be!
I will share the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
I will lift my own eyes to see the promise of tomorrow, not because we are great, but because we are FREE!
* Free to grow.
* Free to learn.
* Free to prosper.
* To be Americans!
