Abbey Arndt’s Story:
How is the economy hitting my home? I was just laid off last month after almost two years of faithful service at a company. I have been approved for unemployment but will receive less than 1/2 of my former wages. I have three cats and a dog to support. The wages I was earning weren't exactly sufficient to keep them fed. Now, I don't know what will happen. How is the economy hitting my home? HARD!
addie brelsford’s Story:
I am a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN AMERICAN. I feel so blessed to live in American and have the opportunities that I have had in my lifetime. The experence of growning up on a farm with 2 parents and 1 brother provided character building through hard work and responsibility. Many of our children are missiong that today. Wish we could get back to more simpler days were family and friends we more social and work together more. I believe America will come back stronger!
Aditya Miglani’s Story:

Alexandra’s Story:
My family and I just recently moved and our rent has gone up four-hundred dollars. Not including utlities. I am trying to get a job to take some of the financial burden off my mom but it gets tough with so many places not hiring. What we're doing to keep us going through this struggle is sticking to God and keeping our faith.
Alexis Starks’s Story:
Five adult children, one teen who we can't help for college. Husband built homes for 2 1/2 years. I was part time at a bank. 2007 he was laid off. Six months it took to find a job. I got extra hours. By the grace of God and our 401k, we stayed afloat. I got a position with the hotel industry, and we're catching up on what we still owe. Filed our 2008 taxes, we owe $1800.00. Payment plans work, and with God, all things are possible. We are going to make it. We have to, our kids are watching : )

Alice Wilburn’s Story:
My husband and I have always paid our bills. My husband was told today that he would be working 2weeks on and 2weeks off. I lost my job in Nov. and am blessed with at least having a part time job right now. But with the newest news, we can't hang on anymore. We know we will lose our house and we are going to have to sell everything we can. The only thing we own right out is our truck. With us being in our 50's we will have a hard time getting our credit back. But we at least have each other
Allison’s Story:
I finished graduate school last year and was hired by well-known non-profit. I love the work, but I work a considerable amount of unpaid overtime because budget cuts from last year cut 4 positions, combining their work into my position.
Just two weeks ago, I was told that there would be budget cuts for next year and that my position would be cut at the end of May.
I've been looking for a job, but have had no success thus far.
Anjalika Silva’s Story:
Why do we have to go through each day not knowing if we have a job the next day - no jobs, no healthcare for honest hardworking citizens who believed education was the way to guaranteed work. NO--what counts is how little pay we ask and what we save working without days off or paid holidays while the CEOs get paid millions, take bonuses out of our tax dollars. We pay taxes to make the rich richer. Our hopes and dreams are shattered. Where is justice and fairplay when workers are exploited?
Annie Doan’s Story:
I am a part-time student looking for part-time work. Finding a job right now is ridiculous and hopeless. I rarely see my friends anymore cause I don't have the money to pay for the gas to go out- gas prices are a joke.
Audrey Larson’s Story:
At our church we are currently sharing testimony after testimony of God's provision in a time of crisis. We strongly believe in what the Bible teaches, and that is to bring tithes and offerings in the storehouse, His church. I am a single mom taking care of a disabled mother. My ex-husband is now in prison and can no longer pay child support. Yet our bills are all paid, including the mortgage. I am believing for more increase so that I can increase God's kingdom. Trust & obey the Lord.
