B’s Story:
I've always believed that the U.S. is the greatest country in the world–with the best opportunity for succeeding. I didn't fully understand this until I embraced free-enterprise. My encouragement to anyone is to break free from a salary and become independent. There's a lot of opportunity despite the current administration's attempt to control an individual's potential. Our current challenge demands innovation and resilience by those who are not obsessed with entitlement mentality. Take a risk!
B. Chaney’s Story:
I go to college full time and besides one month of having a job at dairy queen. I have been looking for a job for two years. Friends of mine lost their jobs a year ago and have not been able to find work since then. They have three kids to raise. My soon to be husband lost both his military job and regular job because he was not protected by military law that he is to stay employed. If people that have served can't have a job then who can. Young people need jobs so this country can have a Future
barbara lewis’s Story:
myself and my husband are still able to pay our bills, just barely. i go to sleep at night wondering how my children are going to manage. one is a waitress and does not even make enough to pay her bills. i wonder how long until her and her children will be homeless. the gov. needs to get back to basics and stop spending our tax money like its a bottomless well. gov aid programs take a dollar for every two you make, god help us all before its too late.
Beau Mains’s Story:
Recently after graduating college on 2005, I decided to make to leap and marry my college sweetheart. We were married 02/14/2009, with her CEO and my boss the CFO at our wedding in Texas, mind you we live and work in Denver Colorado. After returning from our honeymoon, my wife was let go on that Friday. My job is being outsourced I recently was told and my job is going away as of May 1st, 2009. Trying to live the American dream as Americans has never felt so tough.
Betty Kelly’s Story:
After 5 years of separation, my hubby and I realized we still loved each other and are reconciling. He is facing surgery this month, after being laid off twice this year already. I know that having another person to feed and care for is going to be hard, but we will make it. I have been unable to work for 6 years and do not receive disability payments.
I volunteer for Autism Awareness, and help a close friend who is handicapped. I have faith we Americans will make it.
Betty Seith’s Story:
Being on SSi and a small pension, my husband and I are finding it more difficult every month to make ends meet. Our health insurance premiums tripled. I think the Pelosi and Obama plan to finance illegal's should come second to protecting our seniors. If Pelosi wants to take from the "tax paying citizens", I think it shoukld come out of her own pocket. She has millions.
Thank you Mrs. Seith
Bill’s Story:
I just saw the video and loved it. I am an out of work union electrician with one boy in a state university and another son in a private high school. My wife and I are both in our fifties and have jobs since we were 15 years old. We have never used tax-payer supported public schools and thus have never been a drain on the "system" that is so poorly ran. We would like to know when our bailout comes? Who will GIVE us money even though we have not ran our finances into the ground?
Bill Foust’s Story:
On a fix income means that things are very tight. Getting a rental property rented is difficult also. With
inflation at the door, choices between food and health care will have to be made. That includes eating a dollar sandwich at McDonalds to cut cost Thus a balance meal will be a thing of the pass.
Billy’s Story:
My family is blessed to have a stable income. But I have vowed to make my 6 children still at home more aware of our blessings and responsibilities. We have a home, beds, clothes, water, electricity and gas...yet many of our fellow citizens are doing without. We have made a vow to clean out, give up, and give away many of the things we once thought important. My children and I have selected clothing, toys & games to give away, and are donating more money to local charaties that help others.

Bob’s Story:
I spent 17 months in Viet Nam doing what I felt was right. I had problems which I hide very well while in law enforcement for 13 years. Then I had to get out of that
just to cope. In 2000 I began doing pipe line work which was great. My life finely was on track.
Then in Nov. 2008 a lot of the work was shut down. 5 months later I still have no job and the bills are not getting paid BUT my wife and I have been thur tough times. I think we will make it. We can only hope
Bob’s Story:
After fighting in VietNam I am really disappointed in America and the direction it is headed in.I did not fight to send our jobs overseas and did not fight to allow politicians to destroy this great country. It is high time that Americans start acting like Americans and take pride in themselves and what they do.
Bob and Diane Hickel’s Story:
We are retired and have been responsible citizens, taxpayers and voters all of our lives. We have paid for three homes, sent our three children to college and paid off all of our bills without asking the government for a cent. My husband is also a Vietnam Veteran.
We are being hit hard in our retirement savings account and threatened that there may not be enough Social Security to last our lifetime. It is a very sad to see our nation fall to it's knees. We are born again Americans.
BOB H’s Story:
I am very fortunate in that God answered my prayers when I retired and sold my business. I prayed he would show me where to invest my savings that they would not be lost in the stock market or bad investments. He answered my prayers. Althought my family hasn't been too adversely affected many of my friends have.
Bob Wolfe’s Story:
I & my family have been greatly blessed. Because I didn't listem to those who said it could be done and what makes you think you can do that, I prevailed and now enjoy serveral sources of income that no longer depends on me or my efforts. I now enjoy a retirement income in the high 5 figures. I lived by two ideas that changed my outlook, You have a choice - simple daily disciplines or simple errors in judgement and wealthy people build networks, everyone else looks for WORK!
Bonnie D. Clark’s Story:
I guess due to my age and the changes in the North Carolina mental health system, when I moved back to help my parents in 2001 I was unable to get a job in my field as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am also a 10 year Navy veteran. I sought any and all types of employment that I could get and that turned out to be sales jobs mostly. I started looking for a home based business in 2004, and have been blessed to find one that has helped me enjoy a better quality of life than I had before.
Brett Peterson’s Story:
I just received an email from my main supplier on Thursday last week. Cannondale, A company that manufactures bicycles in Bedford Pa. Is moving all their manufacturing over to China, and costing over 250 American jobs. Just to put it in perspective, It is the last bicycle company to make bikes in the U.S. They have been in business since 1971. They were just bought out by Dorel 9 months ago, a Canadian company that swore they would keep business in the U.S. They lied!
BRRY A JARDINE’s Story:
I SERVED MY COUNTRY IN VIETNAM IN 1968 AND 1969 I AM PROUD TO HAVE SERVE WITH MY MANY MANY COUNTRYMAN. WE WERE ALL LEFTG OUT IN THE COLD BUT WE AS A COUNTRY LEARNED FROM OUR PAIN HOPFUL IT WILL COME AGAIN
