J Norton’s Story:
One criticism, in the discussion of your founders intentions he correctly mentions the non secular intentions of our nations founder. Says something like the Bill of Rights IS our bible, using the word bible as "an accepted reference or authority".
The lyrics, however, say My Bible AND the Bill of Rights, a totaly different inference! Using the word Bible as the Christian document. One can see that you attempted to get people of different religions involved. Keep the Bible out. A Christian!
Jackie’s Story:
I am in the oil and gas industry. You know the job where everyone is supposed to be rich. Well, I just challange anyone to see how many jobs are being lost due to the slow down in the ecomony in this field. But, the governemnt portrays everyone in this business as greedy and rich. There are thousands just like me that are just working folks trying to surrive. Trying to help our country not have to depend on foreign oil.
Jason G’s Story:
I am currently 22 years of age. Right now with Economy in a tough struggle I sometimes find it hard to cope with realizing where my future is going to result in after my education in school is done. It’s hard to accept that the work you put into your major at school. May end up impacted, to finding a job after graduation. Or that possibly taking another route in school for a different career path that may offer jobs in the industry promising. But to think that I will have to change my life into a career I may not have passion for, but only doing it to have a somewhat successful living. I believe a job is only successful if it something you love doing. Right now during this economy struggle I find myself in between two roads of which path I want to follow. Passion or Success. A way I cope through the hard times. Is to know that I have my family, and my close friends who are on the same boat as I am. Through these times we do support each other by letting each other know that everything will turn out all right. No matter which path career they choose. Money is sometimes or mostly all the time a hard situation that we all deal with right now. No matter what age you are. I notice that my friends and I are cutting back on activates that we in the past were easily paid for. But now with cut back in jobs and etc. We work together to still hold on tight and still have a good time. For instance instead of going out every weekend, we may instead suggest to have a dinner or a scary movie night indoors. Which with a couple nights of those events can increasingly save some money in your pocket? In conclusion if we all work together and support each other we will stay strong and beat this struggle that’s affecting all of us. Just remember you are not alone and we are all in this together. In result we will all rise back on our feet.
Jeff and Monica Porter’s Story:
As a Christian God doesn't want us to go by the world economy and isn't waiting for me to hit the lottery so I can help him out . Christians should always shine brightest when times are tough . We have a God that takes care of us through good times and bad .
God bless
Jeff Moses’s Story:
The economy hasn't really hit me hard personally, but I work for a car rental company, which has been affected a little bit with what's happening to GM and Chrysler and all. We've been leasing 15 passenger vans from Chevy for past few years, but that's ending this year because the company can't afford to make them anymore. I don't think that will affect us too much because we have alternatives, but who knows for sure?
Right now I'm just glad I'm one fo the lucky ones who has a steady job.
JEFF ROBERTS’s Story:
When the banks tightend up the construction stopped the entire valley here is hurting no jobs
jenna’s Story:
its pretty sad that my husband is in iraq fighting a war and i am home with an ilness taking care of our two children having a hard time making ends meet. you think it would be different because my husband is making a huge sacrifice for his country that we all love. it doesnt make sense to me and it doesnt seem fair.
Jennifer’s Story:
I, like many , lost my job due to the economy. Our company was hit with the news at Christmas. My husband had cardiac catherization done in January due to stress and I was diagnosed with breast cancer the next day.I have had surgery and will do radiation and hormone therapy.I only hope that when my insurance ends in May, Cobra will be affordable for my treatments.21 years with the same company, my husband never signed up for unemployment, lack of work has now changed that. We just keep going.
Jennifer’s Story:
It's hard to stay positive sometimes when almost no one you send a resume to responds. Often times I wonder if my email is even operating correctly. But I remain hopeful by remembering how lucky I am. There are so many more people suffering in the world because of the recession. jeri’s Story:

Jesse Moore’s Story:
We as a nation are realizing that we've outsourced our future. We must re-invest ourselves to the priniples that allowed our nation to be great. As things seem to fall apart, and they will, we must remain calm knowing that all is in the hands of the Father and that his Word will be fulfilled.
Jessica Holman’s Story:
My son spent his first 9months of life in a hospital and since we got him home we have fought to catch him up. He is DD and at 2yrs can't walk, with therapy he will get there but in AZ they want to cut the services to all kids under 3yrs old. Now they cut 600 teaching jobs in my city alone, when our schools are already struggling. But the state is spending 20mil on getting fresh fruit and veggies brought from the border to the city 1 day earlier to be fresher. Ya that makes alot of sense huh....
Jim’s Story:
In 2006, we took a gamble--not the wisest thing to do, but we felt we had the experience to make it work. We bought a lot in a gated, golf-course community and built a large home, thinking that it would be worth a good deal more than it cost us to build. We met the market at the worst possible time, and when we were finished, we lost all our savings and our investment in the project, and had to declare bankruptcy. We lost our home as well. Are we bitter? NO! We gambled and lost, that's all.
jim fisher’s Story:
I was so moved by this that I clicked on "VolunteerMatch" and have signed up with Oddessy Hospice in Adams Co as a volunteer-isn't this what its all about?!!

Joan Hawn’s Story:
We are coping with the economy just by hanging on to what we have with any kind of work my husband can do. He is delivering newspapers now and with gas the way it is, things are not easy. Joan
joe Spalone’s Story:
I am a 90% disabled Vietnam War Veteran. When I returned to my country to work I was turned down by the V.A. for a business loan. Never a quitter I still started my business 33 years ago. During these years my business prospered. I never stopped paying my fair share of taxes. I have employed upward of 40 people in my business. With this economic downturn I find myself behind on my mortgage payments. This is China related! We borrow from China. What ever happened to Gross National Product?
John Doe’s Story:
I think this movement is going in the right direction. However, I don't think the government is letting us down.
I don't know how many jobs are provided by the federal, state, and local governments, but I know there are a lot. The people who are elected and appointed can lose their jobs, but the jobs will still need to be filled. So why do people expect the governments to be motivated to change when there is no unemployment rate for them? The people need to stop letting each other down.
John Kellogg’s Story:
With the hard times we all face, the best thing any of us can do is turn it over to G-d.
This is what I have done after my pay got cut, hours fell off, and the worry of higher taxes placed on my boss. I know in my heart that through trusting faithfulness in our savor Yeshua, that I will make it. Though it will be hard, and I may be forced to look a new job soon, its is in my fathers hands.
This kind of thing comes to the oil field from time to time. Yet never has it been this bad.
JOHN LINK’s Story:
Our Congress and our Senators
They give away the dream
They give to all who come ill-llegally
How can we take care of our own
When daily in they stream
Like parasites they invade our land
Our government gives them a helping hand
While in the unemployment line my neighbors and I stand
We elected them to represent Americans
They should start right here at home
Doing what they can
Making sure WE have what we need
We should take of Americans first and then extend our hand
John Shepherd’s Story:
I am trying desperately to find employment. Jobs are scarce. I enrolled in school to try to help me improve my situation. Now I am in debt with the school and still can't find employment. Until Americans join together and get these wasteful politicians out of office and elect people who will represent us (the common people) we will only continue down this path until we no longer have a country.
We have to demand that we are represented by the people we elect into office.
Jose Huerta’s Story:
Well, I don't know where to begin, I guess I can start by saying hello to everyone out their who currently lost their jobs & who are currently looking for work. Just recently I found out the company I currently work for is shutting down & felt like all my plans for this year were torn apart. The company will shutdown on May 15 of 2009 and have been looking for work since Nov of 2008 and have had no luck. I may have to let my car go, and a few more things & their's nothing I can do about it now.
Joseph C. Pescatrice’s Story:
I am retired and draw Social Security and a Teacher's Pension (both cut by 25% due to early retirement at 62). My wife still works and we are financially stable due to "penny Pinching" and working 2 to 3 jobs at a time before my retirement. We are helping others who are less fortunate and out of work or barely making ends meet by paying them to do work around our home or at my late mother's house. We still live as frugally as possible but see the needs of others as more important than ours.
Joseph Ives’s Story:
Excellant! Brought a tear to my eye to see so many others care about our country in these times.
Judy’s Story:
I got laid off and told it was "temporary" and have not been called back yet. I was in the middle of chemotherapy for cancer and working part time so I would not lose my insurance. I think that company is as low as one can get. The HR department doesn't even call us to update us on when we will go back. Which I believe is never. Being 57 yrs old, feeling fired, and having cancer and losing my medical ( yes I am doing COBRA but nobody wants and old lady with cancer). I feel bad.
Judy Nicholas’s Story:
In 1987 my husband lost his job of 7 years, and with two small children and a new mortgage we decided to open an engineering firm in MI. We had very little money but it was our American dream that lasted over 20 years. Then on Sept. 21, 2007 everything came crashing down and we were forced to close the doors due to huge losses. Although it’s been a difficult road, we will continue to praise God and thank Him every day for the blessings He continues to provide. Don’t ever give up and God bless…
Julia’s Story:
At the time of this writing we are most likely going to lose our house. My husband has lost his job of 19 years due to the company struggling to find work enough to keep staff. We live in an area that once was strong economically due to the thriving automotive industry. Today, GM, Chrysler and many other plants sit empty like lost tombs. We are coping by trusting God and not an employer. We host children from other countries who are here for medical treatment.God gives hope.
Julie’s Story:
My employer is using the economy as an excuse to lay off employees because they don't give a shit about us.
Justin Dominguez’s Story:
I'm trying to get into a good school, so I decided to take this semester off [I'm currently a student at a community college close to hom] so I could work and save up some money for when I go back. Not to mention I couldn't afford to pay for this semester's tuition. Finding a job is hard in itself but trying to find one in our economic climate is just ridiculous. I've got a sister to help take care of and trying to find a job to do that while still trying to help myself... it's rough.
